The Sleepy Hole Park Children’s Learning Garden was established in 2003 and is currently host to a butterfly garden that attracts the area’s finest insects.

 

Children’s Learning Garden Programs

Special Programs run by Suffolk Master Gardeners and sponsored by Suffolk Master Gardeners and Suffolk Parks and Recreation, are always 10-11 AM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month* May- October:

May 9th: Dirt & Worms
June 13th: Good Bugs
July 11th: Water
August 8th: Butterflies
September 12th: Scarecrows
October 10th: Bats

*If rain is forecast/ threatening then the program is moved to the following Wednesday. Parents will participate with the children.
