Soil Testing & Kits

Healthy plants need healthy soil in which to grow. If your garden seems lackluster and you’re having trouble keeping plants at their best, the problem could be with your soil!

Healthy soil provides all of the needed nutrients required for plants to grow well while remaining resistant to disease and pests.

Chemical soil analysis can check your soil’s fertility and determine if anything can be done to increase the quality of your soil. It is one of the best tools available for determining what soil amendments are best for your existing soil.

We recommend having your soil tested at the Virginia Tech Soil Testing Lab. A routine test package costs $10.
