Our Community Gardens

Suffolk, Virginia is home to a vibrant and thriving community of garden enthusiasts, and at the heart of this green movement are the Suffolk Extension Master Gardeners. With their dedicated efforts, they have cultivated a network of 9 unique community gardens, each serving as a testament to the beauty and importance of pollinators in our ecosystem. These gardens are not just spaces for cultivation but also serve as interactive classrooms, demonstrating the vital role that pollinators play in our environment.  As visitors stroll through these living showcases, they’ll encounter a mesmerizing array of flowers, shrubs, and trees designed to attract and nourish pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The Suffolk  Extension Master Gardeners’ commitment to sustainability and education shines through in these spaces, offering a chance for individuals of all ages to connect with nature and learn about the fascinating world of pollinators.

The Suffolk Extension Master Gardeners’ community gardens truly stand as inspiring examples of how a shared commitment to the environment can bring people of all ages together, fostering a deeper appreciation for the beauty and significance of the natural world in our daily lives.
