The EMG program recommends a low-cost soil test provided by Virginia Tech as the first step in diagnosis of most issues.
Soil sample collection boxes and information sheets are available just inside the front door of 440 Market Street, on the 3rd floor of the same building, as well as at the Seed Library located at North Suffolk Library. Seasonally, they may also be available at some local businesses.
